Exterra Networks Webcast Support
In order to listen to Exterra Networks webcasts, select the operating system that most closely matches what you are using:
Windows 98, 2000, XP, Vista or 7 | Linux/FreeBSD | MacOS | Windows Mobile | Palm OS | Blackberry | iPhone/iPod/iPad
How Our Webcasts Work
Our webcast clients provide audio, which is digitized and streamed over the Internet to our servers. When you connect to the webcast, you are connecting through the Internet to our servers which take the one feed from the radio station and make copies of it for each connected user. The entire process looks a bit like the diagram above.
Selecting a format is easy. Just use the following key:

Sometimes, behind a company or school firewall, some ports can be blocked which prevents connection from users to the server in order to listen. If this is the case, ask your ISP or employer to open the following ports: 4010, 4020, 4030, 4040, 4050, 4303, and 8000.
